HB 2009 Enrolled/HB 2009 C-Engrossed/HB 2009 B-Engrossed / SB 856 A-Engrossed: HB 2009B and SB 856A establish the Oregon Health Authority to consolidate and integrate health policy and health insurance planning, policy and functions under a citizen Board. The Authority is directed to implement policies to improve health care quality, improve coordination and contain costs. This includes developing and implementing intiatives in the following areas: patient-centered primary care homes, health care data reporting, an electronic POLST registry, uniform contracting for public health purchasers based on evidence-based guidelines and standards, statewide health improvement, health information technology, health care workforce, administrative simplification and insurance market reform. The Authority will establish the Oregon Quality Care Institute and will develop a business and operational plan for a Health Insurance Exchange.
- HB 2116 Enrolled/HB2116 C-Engrossed/HB 2116 B-Engrossed/HB 2116 A-Engrossed: Provider Tax on hospitals and managed care organizations to fully fund health care expansions under the Health Care for All Oregon Children program and the Oregon Health Plan program. Establishes the Health Care for All Oregon Children program to expand health care to all uninsured children and expands coverage through the Oregon Health Plan to adolescents transitioning out of foster care as well as approximately 75,000 low-income adults.
